Pure Daily Devotional: Day 7

Day 7

Philippians 2:3-11Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, In humility count others more significant than yourself. Do all things for the Glory of God and not for your own glory. God is not pleased to see us motivated by competition and rivalry, God wants our meekness and humility even if we strive to move and work with Excellence. Our desire to do Excellence is our worship to God for God is a God of Excellence.

*Question: Are you always concerned about your interest,  rather than the good of others?

A Joyous Resurrection Sunday

Resurrection Sunday 2013

There is much joy and celebration as we remember the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For Salvation has come to us, freed from the curse of the law and made whole through the sacrifice of our King. We stand to remember the great sacrifice of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, the price He paid for our freedom and the hope we hold unto as His resurrection signifies the change in our hearts and the eternality of holiness in our lives if we stand focused on Him. This day holds much importance to all who stand to believe, for as Christ was raised up from the dead; so are we who have been dead in sin was reborn from the ashes of iniquity as New Creations by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 1:4-5 states – “And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name”

The resurrection is the corner stone of our salvation, the basis of our Renewal, Sanctification and beckons the day of Glorification. I ask you to come to the Lord, stand up for Jesus and defend the gospel through our words, through our actions, through our lifesong. Let us not be ashamed by God’s goodness but let us proclaim His faithfulness to all. Friends, I call out to you, my dear brothers and sisters-I call out to you not to be content with tidbits of the word, calling out to you to stop fidgeting and dilly dallying; today is the day we put our foot down, choose never to be the same again, today we stand up for Jesus. Pure Daily Devotional: Day 6

Day 6

James 4:6“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

God is not pleased of proud people. The angel of music Lucifer, the best worshiper of God turned prideful of his stature.Because of his pride he thought that he could be more powerful than God, thus he rebelled against God. The sin of pride made him the prince of darkness, from the name Lucifer , he was renamed Satan.

Bible reference: Satan’s Pride

Isaiah 14:12-15“How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit.

Question: When was the last time you knew you were in the spirit of pride and still you did not listen to the Holy Spirit’s prodding that you have to humble yourself and repent?

Pure Daily Devotional: Day 5

Day 5

1 Thessalonians 5:15
“Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.”

We imitate Christ in every way , and we allow Him to work on our behalf. We should not fight our own battle, instead be sober, peaceful, prayerful and above all  “Be Still” and ” Let Go Let God.” He is always in control of everything. Jesus Christ is watching us moment by moment.

Romans 12:17-19Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

Question: When was the last time you prayed for a person who hurt you ?

Blessed Are The Pure In Heart

Matthew 5:8“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

What does it mean to be pure? The usual response of many is innocence yet purity is so much more than that- purity speaks of intentional holiness; to be sanctified for God’s purpose. Purity is the result of continued spiritual harmony with God by standing in complete obedience and loyalty to the King of Kings. Growing in purity stands by the precepts of intentionality; for it might be that we are standing pure in Christ, we are right and pleasing to God as our inner purity is unblemished but our outer life maybe showing signs of rust, decay and blemishes. God intentionally does not protect us from this possibility in order for us to recognize the necessity of maintaining our Spiritual vision through personal purity. Our Spiritual Vision to ascertain the perfect will of God is tied to our character, for only those who are pure in heart will see God. God makes us pure by His sovereign act of grace as He gave us His only begotten Son, that by His stripes we are healed and made whole. Our Purity is because we have been washed by the blood of Jesus, but this does not assure us that we are holy regardless. We are called to stand vigilant; for it is through our bodily life that we may stand tarnished, decayed, warped and blemished by different viewpoints, people we deal with, situations we are in and the circumstances that weaken our hold on the faith. Friends, not only should our inner sanctuary be pure but we should watch our outer courts as well. We ought to bring it to purity, washing it and making it clean by our obedience to the word of God; and our humility to own up to our mistakes as we plead the blood of the Lamb in our lives. Unless we do this, our spiritual vision would stand blurred as our outer courts are stained. Thus today I implore you to be intentional in washing our outer courts; seek our King and choose today to stand firm in His truth. Following Christ means that we have to surrender much in order to be blessed all the more, we need to refuse certain things that many might see as right but we who swim in the word of God, who are transformed by the renewal of our mind in Christ Jesus understand its folly. Today dear saints, let us purify ourselves and ask God to sanctify us thoroughly, may the things that blur our vision of Him be quickened in our hearts, that we may surrender all these, turn from wickedness and move for righteousness that our vision would not be blurred by any movement, idealism, situation or circumstance; but we may see clearly by standing in complete purity; ever pleasing to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pure Daily Devotional: Day 4

Day 4

1 Thessalonians 5:11“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

The world is full of hate, and negative spirit. Pride and haughty spirit which is not of God has plagued the world. More often we hear bad comments and criticisms hurled at each other,in school, our home, and when we watch television we see that to make  people laugh they make fun and mock  other people. This is not what God wants to see in us. Jesus Christ makes our burden light, He wants us encouraged and edified. God loves us so much that is why He gives us Hope and understanding that we have a bright future. So when someone calls you hurtful  names e.g ” You are so stupid!” or “there is no hope in you”  or ” you don’t amount to anything” or  when they call you “ugly, fat etc” do not believe those lies, because it is the devil that speaks and desires to crush and tear you down. The devil want to stop you from becoming the person God called you to be.

John 10:10“The thief (devil)  comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus Christ) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Use you tongue to bless, encourage and build each other up.

Pure Daily Devotional: Day 3

Day 3

1 Thessalonians 5:18“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Gratitude spells out Humility. Remember, we don’t deserve anything, but because of God’s unmerited Grace and Favor, He provides for His Beloved Children. We wake up and able to open our eyes to see a new day, and breathe the air that is graciously given by our king. To smell to feel to hear.  Though these are simple things to Thank Him for, but these are the most important ones to give thanks  for.We look far beyond, but the best things in life are the simplest ones. When things don’t go our way….still we Give  Thanks in all circumstances. God is pleased with us if we are meek and grateful. God is not pleased when we are ungrateful because, being ungrateful is being proud.

Pure Daily Devotional: Day 2

Day 2

1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray continually”

Prayer is humility, Prayer is total dependence on God. Prayer is our constant and direct communication and fellowship with God. Prayer is worship and Praise to Him. Prayer is not about asking something from God, it is our moment with God and be stirred up of His presence, giving Thanks to Him for everything. We don’t only pray when we need something, or when we say grace before meal or when we awake in the morning or retire at night. Prayer is continually done moment by moment. Jesus is our constant companion, the Holy Spirit is our counselor when we need wisdom and discernment. Pray without Ceasing.

Question? When was the last time you prayed. How prayerful are you?

Pure Daily Devotional: Day 1

Day 1

1 Thessalonians 5:16Rejoice always

Joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be joyful when things and situations are good and beneficial to us, but even if our situation is not so good we should be Joyful just the same. When we remain Joyful it means we are really trusting God and believe in our pure hearts that He will win the day for us. God always has the best of our interest. It says in

Proverbs 17:22“A joyful heart is good medicine but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

We don’t desire to have dried bones, we don’t desire to be sick. We desire “Divine Health” and the best medicine our King offers is a “Joyful Heart.”
