Keep The Sabbath Holy

Isaiah 58:13“Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the LORD’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly.”

Sunday, sabbath day is holy- set apart by God so we can praise Him, honor Him and rest in His presence. When someone walks in to disrupt that peace; who would try to steal the joy in the congregation and malign the goodness of fellowship; that is a surefire movement of the enemy, the powers and principalities of the evil one to herald ones wicked scheme to scandalize and steal the peace.

John 10:10“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

Those who desecrate the sabbath will have an accounting for scripture states: “keep the sabbath holy.”

Jeremiah 17:27“But if you do not listen to me, to keep the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem and shall not be quenched.”

If ones movement is to desecrate the Sabbath; or the day of the Lord Sunday in and Sunday out- there would be an accounting for the Lord’s day calls us to rejoice for Christ is the reason we celebrate and give thanks; Jesus Christ is the Sabbath; in which we must keep it holy, pure, devoid of our own workings; nor idle talk but speak only what is pure, righteous and true.

Honor God, Glorify Him by keeping the Sabbath/ The Lord’s day holy!

“To Please Our King” – Pastor Lyle Lopez

As Abundant harvest Fellowship Philippines continues its series entitled: Change the Atmosphere, Confess Christ; Pastor Lyle Lopez ushers in the New Year that God has bestowed on us by posing a simple question: What is your resolution today? It is time we checked our resolve in each aspect of our lives we stand to exude the one resolution that if stood upon will in each respect accomplish every resolution you’d like to accomplish from past to present. If focused upon would unlock blessing for you, a full life in every degree as peace, joy, steadiness and contentment would fill your life, encompassed with love, guided by truth and empowered by God’s grace. This Master Resolution is my New Year’s Resolution: To Please Our King

In Galatians 1:10; we see Paul admonishing the Galatians who had among them people who readily followed a perverse form of the gospel, a distortion to the truth and those who preached the gospel yet omitting parts to please the itching ears of the masses or to draw away their fury since the truth hurts. Paul was speaking to the masses who desired not to reform their ways but seek blessing at every turn, he was speaking to the preachers and pastors who would say what people wanted to hear instead of the truth they needed to hear. These two groups fell into the category of pleasing men instead of seeking the approval of God.

Verse 10 states- “Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

A Sincere Christian will not please people. It is not what they love. A holy, humble, spiritual life the world does not love. It is true, indeed, that their consciences tell them that such a life is right; that they are often constrained to speak well of the life of Christians, and to commend it; it is true that they are constrained to respect a person who is a sincere Christian, and that they often put confidence in such a person; and it is true also that they often speak with respect of them when they are dead; but the life of an humble, devoted, and zealous Christian they do not love. It is contrary to their views of life. And especially if a Christian so lives and acts as to reprove them either by his words or by his life; or if a Christian makes his relationship so prominent as to interfere with their pursuits or pleasures, they do not love it. A true servant, a true Christian seeks only to please the King and no other, for if we turn to please men, we were never true believers in the first place for our service is mixed and dabbled, instead of singular and true. We were never Christians but approval addicts who desire praise and applause from the masses than the quiet still moments that righteousness grants those who seek it.

Our obedience to God’s word, our trying hard effort to obey it is perfected by His grace and tuned by His truth; for to please the King we ought not only to hear the word but to keep it. Luke 11:28 – But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” One cannot say mahal ko ang God yet does not follow His commands, to note – let us not even use the term ang for God; for it seems so impersonal when we ought to say My God for He is our treasure, our one true hope, our love, our purest desire.

John 15:14 states – “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Pleasing the King asks us to be right with the King, and as such His commandments ought to be obeyed if we claim fealty to our God. This is my prayer friends, this is my hope as we end the year and enter a new one; that this year and the years to come may signal a change in our movement as we recalibrate our Christianity and adhere it to sound doctrine and the irrefutable word of God.

Chain of Security

A Chain of Security

This flock is forever. And that means you, believer. You will make it to heaven forever. Mark this chain of security

Those whom the Father chose for himself, he also gave to the Son.
And for those who belong to the Son, he also laid down his life.
And those for whom he laid down his life, he also called to himself.
And those whom he called heard his voice and followed him.
And to those who followed him, he gave eternal life.
And those to whom he gave eternal life can never be taken from his hand.
And there will be one flock and one shepherd forever.

This is how secure you are. This is how solid your salvation is. This is the foundation of your unshakeable confidence that you will make it heaven. It is the work of God (1 Corinthians 1:30). Let him who boasts boast in the Lord! (1 Corinthians 1:31).

Light Talk: The Good Shepherd

John 10:14-15“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— [15] just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.

It is Jesus Christ here speaking. “I am the good shepherd. ” He is the one and only shepherd, and He is good

Luke 18:19“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

It is only the good shepherd who can lay down His own life, ” I ” cannot say I can lay down my life for a friend, nor can any Deacon, Pastor say that he is the good shepherd and lay down his life. Question: Would you really lay down your life for the person next to you in the church pew?or lay down your life for a fraudulent member of a church? A thief who doesn’t repent of such thievery in your congregation? Think about it and examine your heart. As for me, I am just a man, and I have limitations of a man. Though I would in all humility try to imitate Christ-likeness attributes and character and emulate His, Love, goodness and light, with the grace of God,still I cannot take the place of the good shepherd nor die for a friend and lay down my life. God is the only redeemer. I can only do so much, even the Pastor, Deacon can only do so much for the flock and this is the painful truth.Jesus Christ the only good shepherd is able to do all.

John 10:11-18“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. [12] The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. [13] The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. [14] “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— [15] just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. [16] I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. [17] The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. [18] No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

Have a joyful peaceful weekend♥ God bless ♥

They Will Listen to My Voice

pic3.001John 10:16I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice”

Lest we miss the point of saying, “I must bring them,”—lest we fail to hear the certainty in the word “must”—Jesus says with absolute authority, “They will listen to my voice.” And that means they will respond. They will come.

John 10:4“When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” John 10:27“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

How to Know If You’re a Sheep

This is how you know if you are one of his sheep. You don’t ask to read the Book of Life (Revelation 13:8; 17:8; 20:12). You don’t pry into God’s eternal decrees. You listen. And if, when Jesus speaks, you hear the voice of God and come, you are his. And what if you don’t come? What if you don’t believe? What would that mean?

The answer is in verse 26: “But you do not believe because you are not part of my flock.” Believing doesn’t make you part of his flock. Being part of his eternal flock enables you to believe. Believing shows that you are his from before the foundation of the world.

And if someone should say, “Well, if I am part of his flock before I believe, then I don’t need to believe in order to be saved,” he would be denying the words of Jesus. Because Jesus says in verse 27, “My sheep hear my voice . . . and they follow me.” If you never follow him, you were never one of his sheep. If you do follow him, you always were one of his sheep.

“Living Stones” The Abundant Harvest Fellowship 2nd Year Anniversary Video

On October 14, 2012; Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines celebrated its 2nd year anniversary as we stand to give thanks for the great faithfulness bestowed upon us by our King as we stand as His instruments to plant His church, thus bearing His banner up high. Its amazing to reach this milestone as we remember our humble beginnings as we met together with brethren who stood by the same heart and mind to plant a church that would stand as a sanctuary for all who desired to seek our King, a home for those who hunger for a family who would love, support, admonish them if need be and encourage them to press on in the faith. A refuge for those who are weakened, a rampart to those who have been battered by the ills of life; those who desperately need hope and finally a beacon of God’s light to all. We desired to plant a church that stood for sound doctrine and bible based theology. God moved in our lives to plant a church in the Heart of Quezon City, drew Families to have an undivided heart in Christ and impacted so many lives not by our might but by His grace. We celebrate another year of God’s goodness unfolding on those who trust in Him alone. We celebrate a church built by families that stands centered on Christ, Driven by God and Empowered by the Holy Spirit- thus Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines was born.

This video is entitled “Living Stones” since upon Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines is not the building where we meet each Sunday but the people that God has set and planted to become living stones in His house where we are nurtured to grow and become the people God has called us to be. In this video; we showcase the people who build up AHF Philippines; the precious souls that complete this church and the wonderful family of God to which we belong.

The Official 2nd Year Anniversary AVP of Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines. Truly God is faithful as He built His Church, Empowered His People and anointed the Body of Believers to bear the Christ’s Standard to be a beacon of Light to all. Our Mission as we reached the Two year mark is the continue on serving, continue worshiping, and continue doing the Lord’s work as God moves in us to turn the hearts of the Fathers to their children and the Disobedient to the Wisdom of the Righteous; to Make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

As Pastor Lyle Lopez stated on the Anniversary:

As we celebrate the 2nd Year Anniversary of AHF; my prayer is that we may stand to sanctify our hearts and focus on God. Shake away any form of self reliance or doubt and stand by faith as we change our hearts and minds; focus on what is excellent and pure as we shine His light knowing fully well that as we obey; we can accomplish all things through Christ who strengthens us. Now is not the time to stand lax, resting on our laurels as we have reached another milestone, experienced God’s faithfulness- but press on as we seek to keep it simple, keep all things pure. As we stand obedient, focusing on God, and trusting in Him that as we stand by His word and manifest His light; We will endure, we will persevere. As we have a singular focus, recalibrating our Christianity as we continue to hunger for God’s word, living out each command set by our King; we will see the promise set forth by our God; that though troubles arise; Romans 8:37 states – “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

The Armor Bearers 1st Year Anniversary Video

The Armor Bearers- The name itself was a blessing as the youth minister; Akeem Lumongsod and Pastor Lyle Lopez planned the launch. They hoped to find a new name that would embody the new generation of youth ministry today. In a time when morality, ethics and desire to build up ones family are labeled as ancient; AHF desired to change the genome of youth ministries and give it a new face. A face who cares for their parents, who shines the power of God in their lives and who are known to bear much fruit as they live a lifesong of praise for the King of Kings- Thus the Armor Bearers was born.

Two Particular verse came to mind upon being blessed with the name, the first on is found in 1 Samuel 16:21-22 21 David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much, and David became one of his armor-bearers. 22 Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, “Allow David to remain in my service, for I am pleased with him.” which shows us the importance of an Armor Bearer and Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

In these two passages, we focused on the idealism found in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he grows old, he shall not depart from it.” We focused on the importance of instilling Jesus into the hearts of the youths, thus entrusting to them the Armor of God; that though they face adversity, trials and tribulations- They will stand firm, knowing that greater is He who lives in them than the one who is in the world. Thus when trouble comes, wear the armor, bear it and stand firm. Hold fast and focus on God as we anchor ourselves to Him alone. For in these trying times, God is our only hope, our only joy and our only peace. Thus we ought to trust in Him, as Armor Bearers; standing as a beacon of God’s light to their family, their schools, their communities, and our country.

This is the 1st Anniversary Video Chronicling the great faithfulness of our King as He took us from strength to strength; shining His light through our lives as we stand to impact others by living a life song of praise to God. The video is the culmination of what God has done in our ministry from our launching to the present; and the great work He is still doing on our behalf as we stand to worship Him in Spirit and truth. Glory to God!
