Delighting in God: Fear the Lord and Serve Him

Joshua 24:14 – “Now therefore fear the LORD and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.”

The question today is simple, do you serve the Lord sincerely and faithfully to a point that He is the first in our hearts and minds when we wake up and the last when we lie down? That we take such joy in serving Him, in reading His word and simply fellowshipping with Him? Do we stand to fear the Lord that in every aspect of our existence, we desire to please Him from our usage of the resources He bestowed on us to our time. How is our reading, is it continues; haphazardly placed or shaky? Such are the questions when we stand in service to the King, it might be so that the busyness of the day is the idol we worship thus it is time to choose. We can’t split our hearts in two; it is either we serve God or hunger to sate our carnality. Friend, now is the time to decide; but know this; if you choose one- you must stand for your choice to the end- you can’t swim in two streams: the Lord comes to us and desires that we singularly focus on Him since through Him is a life, a hope and a
Future. If you are truly regenerated, called and elected- then the choice is not so much a matter of making it but a matter of standing by it. But if you are still wondering on what to choose or have been problematic with your life in the Spirit; then it is time to check ones salvation.

Hope you standing regenerated in all aspect of our existence. Have a blessed day – Pastor Lyle Lopez
