The Beauty In Truth: Do You Want God To Save Your Family?

Joshua 24:14-15 – “14 Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that wereon the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Here are some divine requirements for you and your family to be saved.

1.) SERVE THE LORD
God notices and cares for those who fear and serve Him in spite of hardships. Serving God is a distinguishing mark of the righteous person, whereas not serving God marks the wicked, who live for themselves. There are two, and only two, groups here. Either you have don’t have your service for Christ and you live only for yourself, or you have been justified by faith in Christ and now you live to serve Him with all your heart, because you love him. It is a lie to say that a person can be saved and continue to sin.

2.) FEAR THE LORD
If we are true believers, we will embrace God’s and say, “The LORD commands it; therefore I will obey it with pleasure. Because of what my covenant Lord has done for me. The LORD is my shepherd I shall lack nothing.”

3.) CHOOSE WHOM YOU WILL SERVE
While saying that it is vain to serve God, they were calling the arrogant blessed. From all that they could see, there was no reward for following God, and there were many rewards for defying God and seeking your own prosperity. Whenever we start thinking that way, we have lost God’s eternal perspective and adopted the world’s temporal perspective. We must decide either to serve the LORD or the devil, BLESSINGS or CURSES. But I encourage everyone of you to serve God with gladness. Never grumble when meltdowns happen, because God is giving us lessons for a purpose. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, forever.
