AHF International “New Beginning”

In the 3rd Year of Abundant Harvest Fellowship International, we glorify God as He finally closes a chapter in ministry as He unveils something new. There is a great vision that has been entrusted to Pastor Lyle Lopez and Bishop Waid Hobbs which by the grace of God, they have been true to;all the more in this new generation.

AHF Backdrop Napindan 2013

As this new dawn begins, we are standing firm as New Creations; as we are sealed by grace thus upholding one solid truth. This great vision is to bring the lost to Christ, this is the cause; not just to lead them in a simple prayer that many would state works due to sincerity; but to truly lead each person to Christ; being saved by grace through faith- confessing that He is Savior and Lord each day, not thinking that grace is a license to continue in sin but to answer grace by repenting and confessing the Lordship of Christ in our lives each day; to the day of Glory!

Last Sunday, June 10, 2013 – Pastor Lyle Lopez and the dear brethren of the AHF Family stood by the vision that God has placed in their hearts. God has called each one of them to go forth and spread the gospel; and after a months of continues sharing, going house to house and standing firm to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all; the vision for the church came.

“Many of our third generation Armor Bearer youths are situated in Napindan, Taguig where we usually hold youth service in the house of Bro. Mario and Sis. Aleta Manosca each friday. Sadly only a few can make it to Quezon City for Sunday service. It also came to our attention that many of the parents of our dear youths desire to come to know Christ and have a personal relationship with Him- thus after much prayer; God counsel and Biblical discernment we have decided to begin an AHF Campus in Napindan Taguig.” Pastor Lyle Lopez says.

“The biggest blessing and confirmation we saw was when we asked a local church if we can hold services in their church building during the afternoon; glory to God they obliged- after that we saw the mighty work of the Holy Spirit move in that place as we work together with the churches in the vicinity to impact lives and make a difference.” Pastor Lyle Lopez who have stood at the helm of Abundant Harvest Fellowship International since 2010 states that the heart of the church is complete christian union; since we stand not to compete but to complete.

Now, youths, men and women; whole families are impacted by the great work of God in Abundant Harvest Fellowship International- and this is the just the first fruits of the labor God entrusted. The harvest has come, the time of grace is now- thus Pastor Lyle Lopez and AHF International stands to draw more people to Jesus Christ.

Now the question goes to you; do you have a heart for church union? Do you have a desire to impact lives and make a difference? Are you ready to be a light to all; to share the PURE, TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ and win souls for the King?

If so, then stand with us as we gather for the great harvest that God has purposed us to labor in. Shine with us, Partner with us and Pray with us as we shine love in all we do; winning souls for the King of Kings!

28 Years of God’s amazing faithfulness; God’s best is yet to come

28years.023

One day as I was driving home, I came upon a particular podcast by Pastor John Piper as he exhorted each minister to press on with the good work God entrusted to us all despite the difficulties we often face. This came as an encouraging call to my heart as he implored those who serve the Lord faithfully to press on despite the set backs, despite the pain; despite all hardships. Now if I can sum up the whole message- there was a resounding promise that Pastor John shared that encouraged me- “the best is yet to come.”

Such a profound promise and one that I stand to lay hold of in my 28th year of life; the best is yet to come. Now I know what that sounds like; it resounds as a fantasy that we tell ourselves when all seems lost. To a realist, most of what I would say would seem laughable but to those who know of the faith I lay hold off, I believe that it would stand As a wonderful reminder that all the good you’ve done was not laid to waste. That God sees your hurt, your pain, the love you exuded and the sacrifices you have experienced and He takes all of that into account as you fix your eyes on Him. It might be that no one appreciates the good you do; but God sees and you may not be able to understand the seed you have sown in the lives of all you have touched by God’s immeasurable grace that empowers you to do every good work; but be strong and take courage. Though our lives are poured as an offering to sate the thirst of men for the truth, do not be weakened.

2 Corinthians 4:7-10 – “But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.”

Consider it pure joy brethren when afflictions come, when troubles arise- since in our weakness- God’s power is seen. Though we are persecuted, cursed, torn down as all the good we’ve done is forgotten- be of good cheer and press on for we are following in the footsteps of Christ who despite the good He shined was beaten down; carrying the weight of the cross and bearing our sins as His blood was poured in order to appease the wrath of God as we are given a hope and a future; if we abide in Him. We ourselves are earthen vessels whose use is not on our rough, worn exterior but the truth that is embedded in our hearts as Christ’s life exudes in our bodies. For the pain we face does not compare the eternal weight of glory we will witness in the day of glory; thus as I exhort myself to press on, I call to you dear saint to do so as well.

2 Corinthians 4:16-17 – “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,”

Unlike many of my previous letters of thanks, I deemed it necessary to write this letter in the hope that those who peruse will be encouraged by God’s great grace and faithfulness in my life. I have seen my self in the spotlight as an actor/singer; I have stood in the background as an unsung hero who does the nitty gritty work backstage; in this life I have been blessed to see the very best of people and sadly the very worst; and then God called me to His service with a simple call – to love unconditionally and press on to win the lost back to God. Initially it seemed simple, yet as years progressed; I realized the difficulty of this path. The sadness and much brokenness of Spirit but amidst the pain; there is unimaginable joy and hope. Each day I face in ministry; God has purposed that I experience; peace and fulfillment. I can’t express the extreme joy of seeing souls won to Christ; when change is not some partial reflection of emotion and truly a 180 degree turnaround. When repentance is our response to grace and as the response of our youths to the gospel is not a continues want for activities but a desire to evangelize and share the good news of God’s grace and the proper response to His kindness.

I am truly blessed and joyful as I celebrated 28 years of God’s great faithfulness; as such I celebrated the eve of my birthday proclaiming the word of God in the streets of Napindan Taguig as I marched with the youths to draw many to Christ. It was a fruitful day as we held our live event for the month of May entitled: “Sharing the Good News and Taho.”

We were met with many who desired to know Christ as we blessed them with Taho in abundance. As the sun started to set; I was able to inspect the docks where some of our youth who travel by boat make land. I was also able to see the beauty of the fields in Napindan and the colorful hues that the sun makes as it sets on the horizon.

What I did not expect was that after my message on loyalty to God and His redemption came the most heart warming surprise by our beloved youths. First came a poem, a dance number, and a giant card of gratefulness, blessings and prayers.

Afterward was a scrumptious feast that my family and dear brethren in the church lovingly bestowed. What a blessed day and a purposeful one; God in every sense revived me as a particular psalm came to heart:

Psalm 71:20 – “You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again.”

So if I have to give a conclusion to what I have seen in my 28 years of life, it would be this; it does not matter if all the good you do is forgotten, it doesn’t matter if life seems unfair, if the bonds you once held dear is broken; you are not called to cry out injustice or fill your heart with resentment or hate. This life is much more than triumphs and defeat, joy and sorrow. This life’s great purpose is to please God and to make much of Him; not being made much of. Don’t feed your ego with you accomplishments or by the goodness you once exuded. Don’t do good for approval or for a pat in the back; do good because God commands us to do so and take heart. Things may not seem well now but be strong and take courage for God’s best is yet to come.

Isaiah 40:30-31 – “Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Glory to God, thank You Father for another year to serve You and Make much of You My King!

Sincerely,

Pastor Lyle Lopez

Standing Up For Loyalty: Are You Loyal to God and His Redemption?

942716_665465923468718_1012672904_n

Loyal: Faithful to lawful authority; faithful and true, as to faithful to a king or to whom one is subject; unswerving in allegiance. Being true to any person or persons to whom one owes fidelity, especially as a wife to her husband, lovers to each other, and friend to friend; constant; faithful to a cause or a principle.

Are you loyal? Is God the authority in your life? Are you faithful and true to Him? Are you faithful, even as a servant unto their King, pledging to honor that loyalty, even with their own life? Is your allegiance only to God?

Today, Pastor Lyle Lopez will continue our series entitled: “Standing Up For Loyalty” at the Armor Bearers Youth Service @ Napindan Taguig as he shares his message entitled: Are You Loyal To God and His Redemption? This a very important question to answer, and one that has much stock in our walk. How true are we to God? Do we break our oaths? Do we tell God where we want to serve, how we want to serve instead of asking Him- “What service can I do for you Lord?” How true is our salvation? Do we think that regardless of what we do; no matter how wicked we live, because of a simple prayer we are already saved?, how our Christianity? does it stand for truth or licentiousness, does the grace of God truly move us and empower us to stand pleasing and ever repentant to God?

2 Chronicles 16:9 – “For the eyes of the LORD are looking and seeking throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are loyal and fully committed to him.”

Friends, God is seeking for true worshipers, those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth; question is- are we one of the few who harken to His call? Glory to God for His great faithfulness; His goodness never cease; it is steadfast and long suffering. So come and join us today as we impact our youth, changed lives, make a difference and stand together in unity as we intentionally worship our King in Spirit and in Truth. Praise the Lord!

Live Event: “Sharing The Good News & Taho”

taho.098

Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines will be hosting a live event later today @ 3:30 PM Entitled: “Sharing The Good News & Taho” @ Napindan, Taguig City; we are standing firm to bless, encourage, edify and bestow the good news to all who will hear as we move to enlighten those who will harken into repentance as we answer the great gift of grace by following Jesus, turning from sin and living up to who we are in Christ; New Creations through Him who strengthens us. We are also blessing all who would harken with taho, a hot flavorful comfort food that is known well among the locals as a treat. It is the heart of this ministry to truly shine God’s light in the community, not just pretending to impact but truly making a difference. We are blessed by our youths and dear members who devote their time to proclaim the gospel, going offline completely from the things of this world and being connected to the great call God has set in our lives.

If you are in the neighborhood- you most welcome to join us; and we hope that you may stand in prayer for us as we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all. Thank you so much and have a blessed day!

May 2013: Most Valuable Sharers and The Sharer of the Month

At the Youth Ministry of Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines called the Armor Bearers, we stand to encourage our youths to go out and share the Good News that the Kingdom of God may be preached as we proclaim His steadfast love, His great faithfulness, His immeasurable grace and the singular response which is complete repentance as we stand to please our King. We are blessed to see our dear third generation Armor Bearers, the best; God focused generation as they stand to serve, not to be served. In an address last April 26, Pastor Lyle Lopez challenged every Armor Bearer to proclaim the gospel and stand up to draw people to become New Creations through Jesus Christ, not by just praying a simple prayer but by supernaturally being transformed in mind, heart and spirit by the grace of God. Glory to God as we have seen our youths work tirelessly to proclaim the good news, setting more time in preaching the word of God than pursuing meaningless exploits. As the month of May comes to a close, we would like to share with you the tally for the Most Valuable Sharers and the Sharer of the Month as we ask for your prayers and support that we may continue to shine God’s light to all, In Jesus Name Amen!

A Joyous Pentecost Sunday

pentecost.027

Last May 19, 2013- The Brethren and I celebrated Pentecost Sunday in Abundant Harvest Fellowship Philippines. Now many who might read this may wonder as to why celebrate Pentecost, or even question the meaning of Pentecost thus I was led by the Holy Spirit to share with a particular 3 point message that drives the point across as to why we ought to celebrate this Joyous day.

Probably the first question that comes to mind is: what is Pentecost? To understand the great meaning of this day; let’s catch up on its context; When our Lord Jesus Christ Resurrected; he spent forty days fellowshipping with his disciples; preparing them for their ministry, strengthening them and praying with them as found in Luke 24:39-43. Just imagine the joy of fellowshipping with the Risen Christ in His glorified body; but despite the joy of being with the Lord- it cannot last for Jesus must ascend to the Father and establish his everlasting reign by receiving, as the God-man, all dominion, power, and authority (Luke 24:44–51) Watching Jesus ascend to heaven (Acts 1:11), the disciples must have felt an immediate sense of loss, the Master whom they wept over in death, who they rejoiced over at His resurrection has now ascended to His throne. But Jesus steadied them with an important promise found in

Acts 1:5 -“you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

So, on the seventh day after the ascension, we find the disciples gathered in Jerusalem, praying, waiting, and celebrating the Feast of Weeks. This important annual festival was observed on the seventh Sabbath after Passover. At the conclusion of Passover, the first sheaf of the barley harvest would be offered before God in the temple, anticipating the greater harvest that was to follow in the summer. On the fiftieth day after Passover (Pentecost comes from the Greek word for fifty), all Israel would come to the temple in Jerusalem to celebrate in God’s presence in memory of Israel’s deliverance from Egyptian bondage as found in Deuteronomy 16:9-12; Now in Acts 2:2-4, Luke tells us that when the disciples were gathered together on the day of the Pentecost; “suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
This stood as the validation of the great commission set forth by Christ and the fulfillment of His promise that the Holy Spirit will come upon the disciples and all flesh as the gospel was declared in every tongue that all may hear the Redemption set forth by our Savior.

Peter then explains the miracles as the fulfillment of God’s word in Acts 2:16-18; he states- “This is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.”

Pentecost is not a movement, organization, denomination, it is not a religion but it stands as the day the helper came, baptizing those who stood firm in God’s truth, anointing and blessing Jesus’ disciples with the gifting they need to spread the Good News and finally the testament and proof that utter the most profound statement in the great commission; Not Go, or make disciples but more so the promise uttered by Christ; understand that no matter how much we go; if Christ is not with us; If His presence is not upon us; we are powerless but Pentecost affirms the promise that empowers us to spread the good news; in Matthew 28:20 – “..And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Thus I would define Pentecost as the day when each Christian never stood alone for God is with us as His grace stands sufficient; for even in our weakness; we proclaim His greatness; as we stand to witness His great faithfulness unfold in our lives by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us all. Thus we celebrate, for this is the day the Lord has made; this is the day of affirmation as we shine His light to all by abiding in Him.

In John 16:13-14 we understand who the Holy Spirit is; “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.”

The completion of God’s glorification is set not by the workings of man but by the power of the Holy Spirit whom Christ has sent to guide us to all the truth; the greatest gifting we received in this day of Pentecost is His presence that dwells in all who stand obedient and trusting to Him. That is why it is imperative to celebrate this day; first because Pentecost is the fulfillment of Jesus’ Promise to never forsake His own; the fulfillment of this promise was the outpouring of gifts from the Holy Spirit to the disciples then and to us today such as the gift of utterance such as Prophecies, tongues and its interpretation, gifts of power such as healing, faith and miracles and the gift of revelation; such as a word of wisdom, revelation and discernment. Unless we have the Holy Spirit in us; we cannot accomplish the great task set by God in our lives; unless we have the Holy Spirit in us; we were not saved nor redeemed in the first place.

Second, Pentecost launched the global proclamation of the Gospel, the death of Christ and His resurrection signaled the first fruits of God’s victory over sin and death; and at the outpouring of the Holy Spirit; Pentecost signals the great harvest to come; today friends we are witnesses to such a harvest as we stand on the march to draw the lost back to the King and finally the third reason for such a celebration is- Pentecost signals the coming fuller restoration and greater celebration as found in another striking promise in Joel 2:25:27“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lᴏʀᴅ your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lᴏʀᴅ your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame.”

That in itself is the fullest expression of the coming days of glory when God shall wipe of every tear from the former things have past away, behold all things are new. Thus friends we rejoice this day as we stand witnesses to such exciting times; when our King comes and flies us home. But till that day I call to you dear brethren to cleave to the King of Kings, never yield nor weaken but stand strong as we recalibrate our Christianity and refocus our hearts and minds to Christ alone as we quicken into our hearts our need for His presence. Know that we are called to live holy, righteous and true; we are called to do great work for God but this call was never intended to be done by our waning strength but by acknowledging our need for the Holy Spirit to bring upon us great revival, A great renewal that restores unto us the joy of our salvation as we stand to see things with spiritual eyes; to see each test as an avenue to create a testimony, to turn each trial to a praise report and to respond to every hardship with pure joy as we are chiseled to perfection by the workings of endurance as we cleave to our King.

Hymns of Faith: Oh Happy Day That Fixed My Choice

Hymns Of Faith

Oh Happy Day That Fixed My Choice; such a beautiful hymn that has strengthened, encouraged and blessed many generations from the moment it was published. To appreciate the beauty of this hymn, we ought to take a look at how this hymn was conceived, how this was inspired of God from the composition of a Pastor named Philip Doddridge.

Our story begins with a woman named Monica Doddridge who gave birth to Philip. She had been through the pain of labor no less than 20 times. 18 of her children had died in infancy. Philip was delivered as though stillborn, and so the midwife set him aside to attend to his mother. And then the baby cried out. At that moment Monica determined that young Philip’s life had been saved for a purpose. She spent the next few years doing her best to teach her frail son the Scriptures.

At a young age, Philip Doddridge was orphaned. An excerpt from his diary tells that his faith in God remained strong: God is an immortal Father. My soul rejoices in Him. He hath hitherto helped me and provided for me; may it be my study to approve myself a more affectionate, dutiful and grateful child. With no family and no money for formal training, friends encouraged him to give up his dream of entering the ministry. Doddridge took the matter to prayer and God miraculously provided funds.

Doddridge found his place among the clergy of the English Dissenters. He was pastor of an independent congregation and taught at a seminary for dissenting ministers. More than 200 years later, this same college (now under another name) includes a large collection of his manuscripts in the library. Doddridge wrote more than 50 hymns, including the very popular O Happy Day..

O Happy Day has survived the centuries in various formats, with different melodies, and in both 3/4 and 4/4 time. The song has been recorded by several famous artists, including Joan Baez and the Hawkins Singers. It has been a part of many movies, including The Nutty Professor II, and Sister Act II. It has been sung by church and school choirs, at baptismal, confirmations, Easter and Christmas celebrations. O Happy Day is a timeless song that brings inspiration and joy to the hearts of both doubters and believers.

O Happy Day

O happy day, that fixed my choice
On Thee, my Savior and my God!
Well may this glowing heart rejoice,
And tell its raptures all abroad.

Refrain:

Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away!
He taught me how to watch and pray,
and live rejoicing every day
Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away.

O happy bond, that seals my vows
To Him Who merits all my love!
Let cheerful anthems fill His house,
While to that sacred shrine I move.

Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away!
He taught me how to watch and pray,
and live rejoicing every day
Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away.

‘Tis done: the great transaction’s done!
I am the Lord’s and He is mine;
He drew me, and I followed on;
Charmed to confess the voice divine.

Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away!
He taught me how to watch and pray,
and live rejoicing every day
Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away.

Now rest, my long divided heart,
Fixed on this blissful center, rest.
Here have I found a nobler part;
Here heavenly pleasures fill my breast.

Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away!
He taught me how to watch and pray,
and live rejoicing every day
Happy day, happy day, when
Jesus washed my sins away.

High heaven, that heard the solemn vow,
That vow renewed shall daily hear,
Till in life’s latest hour I bow
And bless in death a bond so dear.

As we learned of this hymn; its history, conception and appreciated the beauty of this song of praise to our King. We would like to end with a wonderful offering as our Head Pastor; Pastor Lyle Lopez visited Armor Bearers Taguig, an outreach of AHF Philippines as he taught the youths this song. Be blessed Dear Saint!

Light Talk: The Danger of Procrastination

lightalk.001-001

How many times that you were set to have a meeting at 8:00 in the morning but your slackness gets into the way. You put off chores to be addressed right away a day before and in the nick of time all those chores gets cluttered; one thing on top of the other. Then your phone rings and the person you are going to have a meeting with asks: “where are you?” You reply: “I am on my way” well in fact you were just about to take a shower. – PROCRASTINATION! How long do we desire to keep it this way?

Procrastination is defined as: To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness. To postpone or delay needlessly.

It starts with lateness, and that tiny latency, and that lack of desire and intentionality to be prompt. This movement gives birth to the shades of procrastination. The attitude begins with a little” I’ll do it later”, soon after ” I’ll do it tomorrow”, then ” Promise next week I’ll do it.” Promises you yourself is not convinced to fulfill, then so on and so forth, until your procrastination becomes widespread. Procrastination that is bigger than yourself, bigger than your home, bigger that your whole universe. It extends its borders until people around you gets so affected, vexed, hurt, miserable and worse destroyed. A little procrastination can lead to losing your Job,bankruptcy, poverty, severed relationship, sour business, resentment, failure upon failure, stealing, habitual chronic lying and death.
The saddest part of procrastination is that the fruit of despair doesn’t just affect the person who is procrastinating, more so the people around procrastinators. It has a ripple effect and it just doesn’t stop. Procrastination according to Joyce Meyer “is a thief”. I would say denying one’s procrastination makes one fall into more procrastination, justifying it makes procrastination a Life -STYLE. ” our Second Nature.”

Proverbs 6:4“Don’t procrastinate – there’s no time to lose.”

Jesus Christ knocks into the door of our hearts and yet we put it off, we know what everlasting life is, yet we put off the chance to be co-heirs of His Kingdom; And if we were saved, we procrastinate in working out our salvation with much fear and trembling, that we reluctantly embrace that we were set apart toward sanctification for God’s Glory. We put off our striving for personal holiness, and if someone does advocate personal holiness, he ends up being called judgmental and self-righteous. Where do we draw the line? Do we justify our actions of putting off sanctification because of the understanding that God is simply good and Gracious? Do we tell ourselves God is our judge and only God knows the condition of our hearts. Yes definitely , but God commanded us; as we are set apart for His purpose we should desire to be Holy and not procrastinate in doing so. This includes all our dealings, plans, concerns and everything under the sun.

1 Peter 1:16“for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

The little utterances of “I will do it later.” is as humongous as not finishing well.

Prayer: Lord let me do good, doing good at the right time for the right reason. May the holy Spirit’s prompting be so clear to me that I may Obey you with promptness and humility in Jesus name Amen!

Pure Daily Devotional: Day 10

puredaily.001

Day 10

Psalm 147:6 “The Lord lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.”

Proverbs 16:18“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

A humble gentle person is Lifted up by God Himself. The humble in heart will be promoted and rewarded and be blessed with good success, whereas the prideful, arrogant, haughty and wicked person ends up in poverty, disgrace and destruction.

Question: share an experience when you humbled yourself and gave your right of way  to a person or situation and after doing so, you experienced God blessings and approval.
